Trans rights activists

I have written articles from the Daily Telegraph and even a book

I care about this issue because trans rights are important. Back in the 90s trans people had very few rights even in employment until P v S and Cornwall Country Council ruled that you couldn’t discriminate against trans people, then later the ECHR in 2002 ruled that not allowing trans people to be legally recognised in law as the sex they now presented as was in breach of their human rights leading to the GRA in 2004. Then in 2010 all the existing anti discrimination legislation was amalgamated into the Equality Act …

Then just this year a judge ruled that when someone was trying to be transphobic it was and I quote… “I conclude from … the totality of the evidence, that [Forstater] is absolutist in her view of sex and it is a core component of her belief that she will refer to a person by the sex she considered appropriate even if it violates their dignity and/or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment. The approach is not worthy of respect in a democratic society.”

I had stood up and addressed a Union conference, I have marched in parades, I have spoken to many levels of government in multiple countries, I have written articles from the Daily Telegraph and even a book.

No negative consequences, because I’m not a bigot.

A N Other, No a bigot
