I have written articles from the Daily Telegraph and even a book

I care about this issue because trans rights are important. Back in the 90s trans people had very few rights even in employment until P v S and Cornwall Country Council ruled that you couldn’t discriminate against trans people, then later the ECHR in 2002 ruled that not allowing trans people to be legally recognised in law as the sex they now presented as was in breach of their human rights leading to the GRA in 2004. Then in 2010 all the existing anti discrimination legislation was amalgamated into the Equality Act …

Then just this year a judge ruled that when someone was trying to be transphobic it was and I quote… “I conclude from … the totality of the evidence, that [Forstater] is absolutist in her view of sex and it is a core component of her belief that she will refer to a person by the sex she considered appropriate even if it violates their dignity and/or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment. The approach is not worthy of respect in a democratic society.”

I had stood up and addressed a Union conference, I have marched in parades, I have spoken to many levels of government in multiple countries, I have written articles from the Daily Telegraph and even a book.

No negative consequences, because I’m not a bigot.

I have come out at work as a trans man

Quite simply, I care about all people being treated with respect. I care about the facts being shared, children brought up to be free to make their own choices, and adults able to access public spaces without fear.

I have come out at work as a trans man. I have helped to design and run training sessions for colleagues on LGBT equality, where we have shared the facts about life as an LGBT person, what rights we have, and what discrimination we face in society. This has helped to dispel myths, and create an atmosphere where people of all gender identities and sexual orientation feel safe and happy in the workplace.

I have participated in the GRA consultation and shared facts about being trans on social media. I have attended Pride and marched proudly as a gay trans man.

I have received negative, nasty comments on social media from opponents of trans equality. I have had to read that people like me are “groomers”, are sex offenders, are dangers to others. This has taken a huge toll on my mental health but I have continued to speak out as it is so important to help my fellow trans people be treated with dignity and respect.

This matters to me because I believe in equal rights for members of the trans community

This matters to me because I believe in equal rights for members of the trans community.

I have engaged in debate, done research to back my statements, and defended trans people.

I have been harassed, declared ‘gay’, and insulted.

This represents a huge problem for modern feminism unless we determine to move forward in solidarity with ALL women, cis AND trans

Because abuse of trans rights is abuse of human rights. The attempted imposition of hateful gender ideology by so-called ‘gender critics’ represents thinly-veiled bigotry and a sustained attack on scientific consensus, in defiance of all data, across multiple academic disciplines.

No structural basis has yet been established for discriminatory language and practices employed. This represents a huge problem for modern feminism unless we determine to move forward in solidarity with ALL women, cis AND trans.

I’ve created a social media platform for the exchange of ideas and support for Gender variant people of any stripe.

I engage with others whenever the subject is relevant, whether in person or online. I have contacted my MP to ask for urgent clarification of the government’s position on GRA reform.

I write to a variety of media outlets to engage with the substance of the discussion.

No negative consequences. Because most people find bigotry appalling and only have respect for those who resist it.

Those actions don’t belong in a decent humane society

Because I am a total clown who can’t keep my nasty bigoted views to myself.

Been a total knob to trans women all the time. Made up nonsense shite to create a climate of fear against one of the most vulnerable groups in society, and tried to masquerade it as an honourable crusade for human rights. I know you probably think that sounds absolutely mental, and those actions don’t belong in a decent humane society, but fuck you I’m going to do it anyway.

Yeah, some bloke in a wig absolutely rinsed me when I tried to sue my employer for sacking me because I wouldn’t stop slagging trans people off. It’s political correctness gone mad.

The struggle for trans men is different but caused by many of the same prejudices

It matters to me that we, as feminists, stand up for our trans sisters, and acknowledge that the struggle for trans men is different but caused by many of the same prejudices.  It matters because to do anything else would be to deny then the rights we take for granted.

I have donated to trans support fund raisers. I have regular conversations with people whose bigoted views are outdated and bigoted,  trying to teach them how to be compassionate,  which is often like trying to explain the difference between teal and aqua to someone who has been blind from birth.

I have been subjected to reams and reams of bigoted,  unresearched prejudice from people who refuse to extend kindness to people who are already struggling with dysphoria and systemic prejudice.  I will keep doing it,  though.

I’ve tried to show kindness to people who actually seem hurt or misguided about trans people

This matters to me because trans people are human beings who deserve compassion.

I’ve tried to show kindness to people who actually seem hurt or misguided about trans people.

Not really experienced any negative consequences, most people seem to think trans humans deserve rights just like everyone else.
