No one should be compelled to lie

As a woman myself, with children, I care that women can organise politically and socially without men, that children should be protected from making choices they are not mature enough to consent to, and that no one should be compelled to lie.

I am very vocal on twitter, I have attended demonstrations, I am slightly vocal on facebook and when this topic arises in conversation I make my opinion clear.

So far I have lost one friend and another thinks I’m a bigot that she can save.

I’ve been surprised at the lack of hate I have received on twitter but then I’m a man

It just matters; It seems so clear to me with testimonials and mainly SCIENCE but this is being denied and people can’t see it.  It just creeping into every aspect of life and I feel I’m on the losing side.  I suffer too much from believing in fairness and it really gets to me that this just isn’t fair and I’m a bloke; so it’s not my choices that are going, in fact my choices are being expanded at the expense of women.

Lots of comments/likes on twitter usually responses rather than originals.  I’ve donated to Maya, WPUK, LGB.  I’ve signed petitions.  I’ve written to companies e.g. Body Shop most recently.  Card to JKR.  Talked to friends etc.  Challenged family.

I’ve been surprised at the lack of hate I have received on twitter but then I’m a man.  Family relationships have, at times, been tense as a result of this.  One of the negative things for me is, as a lifelong Labour supporter, I now feel politically homeless and don’t feel I am part of a comradery any more and that feels bad.  Also feel disenfranchised as don’t have anyone to vote for.

I’m concerned about children receiving medication & surgery too early in life

I’m concerned about children receiving medication & surgery too early in life & without enough counselling. Also the rise of males identifying as female & then going on to commit assault.

I’ve only ‘liked’ tweets on Twitter

I’ve been blocked by a few accounts.

Women need single-sex spaces

I care because women need single-sex spaces and because of basic fairness, e.g. men being included in women’s sports, fiction prizes etc

I have mainly engaged on social media. Some discussion with friends and family.

My children think I am a transphobe. I’ve lost some friends.

I want them to grow up to be proud of who they are and be safe to live their life

I care because I am female, I have three daughters 12 yrs and under. I want them to grow up to be proud of who they are and be safe to live their life.

I have not done as much as I would like to have done.

Not yet experienced consequences but I’ve not been very brave.

I’m a victim of male physical and sexual violence

It matters to me because I’m worried about female safety in female spaces. And general comfort. I’m a victim of male physical and sexual violence, triggered by men in spaces where I’m vulnerable. I’m worried about erasure of woman using “gender neutral” language.

I’ve liked tweets, signed petitions.

I’ve experienced tension in whatsapp groups.

It’s the worst incarnation of misogyny I have ever encountered

This matters to me as it’s the worst incarnation of misogyny I have ever encountered.

I have tried to enlighten people to what Queer Theory is and what it’s ultimate aims are and how dangerous it is for women. I mostly try in conversation- most women have no idea.

I’ve been blackballed by my Union (I’m a very active shop steward in a big Union) and in so called left-wing groups.

As a cancer survivor in 2016 I made jokes about not feeling like a woman

As a cancer survivor in 2016 I made jokes about not feeling like a woman, especially as I wear trousers. Then I started to notice how organisations were starting to replace the word “women”, for example with respect to periods. Now as my daughter turns 17 and self Id and mixed sex toilets are more visible in news stories, I worry about whether she will avoid sex assault or whether she will have fewer rights than me. Also, if you can’t name or define things properly, how can you create legislation?

I gently mention to people at work if I get the opportunity to drop into a conversation or ask an innocent question but its difficult to be too obvious as although my employer isn’t too woke, they seem to be gradually heading that way. I can’t afford to lose my job, as a cancer survivor with health problems I feel I should stay where I am.

A couple of people have completely misunderstood what I’ve said. In general I am sympathetic to how people want to live their lives or live as if they were another sex but I have been appalled by “TRAs ” and the aggression and abuse and everything is transphobic. These colleagues questioned if my questions were transphobic, but it’s not the trans that’s the issue. It’s the aggression and push for self Id which is now feeling like it may encroach on my rights and my daughter’s rights very soon.

I escaped before I got as far as medical intervention but I now see the other side

This matters to me because I spent 5 years of my life (14-19) actively buying into transgender ideology. I identified as male for a number of years and also nonbinary, I did a full social transition. I detransitioned in May 2019. Thankfully, I escaped before I got as far as medical intervention but I now see the other side. Transgender is a dangerous cult. I am proud to be a woman and proud to be a lesbian. Transgender ideology harms lesbians (female homosexuals).

I have been speaking out publicly since June last year mainly on twitter @tjdetrans. I also have done a few interviews on youtube and also sky news, I have done a few public talks about my experiences. I recently wrote a longer article on my experiences “one year out-my story” on medium. Finally, I have been involved in a few pride protests… I was at the front of Manchester pride with my hand sewn banner “Gender Ideology Harms Lesbians” and also at Leeds with a similar banner. I speak very openly about my views on the subject.

I have had numerous encounters on Twitter with men telling me what I should be thinking, them claiming to be women etc. Transgender activists also hate my voice as they view me as a threat. At Leeds pride I had one woman I knew prior to detransition (Id nonbinary) shout “traitor” at me. I have also had several comments on YouTube about my appearance that have been rather negative.

As a scientist I am offended by the lie of ladybrain

As a scientist I am offended by the lie of ladybrain.  Ignoring safeguards for women and children is madness.  The education system is being changed to lie to children.  Affirmation-only ignores the issues of autism, sexual abuse, that most children would naturally desist and many would be happy gay and lesbian young people.

I have responded to the GRA consultation, I have written to my MP, and I try to support women who speak publicly.  I donate to crowd funds for legal fees.

One woman at work won’t talk to me anymore, but primarily I have to remain anonymous because I want to protect my family from the horrific threats and abuse.
